How the Google Ads API supports our internal workflow

The initial version uses Google Ads Keyword Planning services to retrieve planning information for our own Google Search campaigns.

01

Generate keyword ideas

Expand product and brand terms into relevant keyword opportunities for manual review.

02

Review historical metrics

Organize average monthly searches and available historical demand information.

03

Assess competition

Review competition indicators and top-of-page bid ranges for planning purposes.

04

Compare markets

Compare selected countries and languages using the same keyword research criteria.

05

Model campaign economics

Combine commission, expected conversion scenarios, CPC and CPA assumptions.

06

Export planning reports

Turn research into structured tables and reports for manual campaign setup.

Internal workflow

From a product idea to a manual planning decision

  1. 1

    Enter the research inputs

An internal user enters the product, seed keywords, Google Ads customer ID and financial assumptions.

  2. 2

    Select markets and language

The user chooses the countries and language that should be compared.

  3. 3

    Request keyword-planning data

The application requests keyword ideas and historical planning metrics through the Google Ads API.

  4. 4

    Organize the response

Results are presented through visual summaries, market comparisons and keyword tables.

  5. 5

    Make a manual decision

Our team reviews the report and independently decides whether and how to create a campaign in Google Ads.
